When did you start drawing?
Ever since I was small- I started taking it seriously when I was about 13.

Which hand do you use for drawing?
Left

Which is easier to draw - male or female?
Boobs and hips are far more fun to draw.

Which is easier to draw - long hair or short hair?
Long hair...so flowy!

Is it easier to draw the head facing towards the right or the left?
I usually draw facing the right for some reason. Probably because of my left handed ness.

Is it easier to draw the side view of the face or the front view?
Front!

What do you have problems in drawing?
Really technical stuff like buildings and machinery.

What do you like to draw?
If it's cute, I love it! Even if it's ugly I can make it cute.

Are you a traditional artist or a digital artist?
I would love to be a digital mastermind but traditional will always be my best medium.

Where do you start drawing from?
Top left...stupid habit, being left handed.

What is your drawing habit that you are aware of?
I will draw for ten minutes, and then take a ten minute break. Rinse and repeat. I also tend to work on a couple of things at work to keep myself from getting bored.

What do you keep in mind when you do lineart?
I don't do lineart, really.

Any tips for coloring/shading?
Pay attention to shading and coloring in real life. Subtle tricks like atmospheric perspective, back lighting and neighboring colors can make all the difference in a picture. Know actual color theory, shadows are not just darker sections of that color.

How long does it take to finish a piece of art?
I've shoved stuff out in a couple of hours, and spent a better part of a month on a single painting. It really just depends!

What music do you listen to while you draw?
Whatever I'm into at the moment. Right now it's Vocaloid stuff and video playlists! (4PP and Zelda walkthroughs...) I actually like just listening to videos without watching them...I can't do that with TV though for some reason. (Probably because I've seen every video on my playlists about 9000 times.)

How long does it take you to come up with an idea?
Sometimes forever, sometimes instantly at the most random times. I feel most inspired when I'm doing lots of things and not paying attention to drawing.

Your favorite drawing utensils?
Pencils, ink pens (mostly signo and fountain pens)

Your favorite color/the color that you use a lot?
Any neutral hues, like blue, green, red, brown, grey, etc. Those are my favorite colors but I tend to just use whatever the picture needs instead of constantly keeping up a style.

Your favorite style(s)?
Simple and cute with a lot of texture! Anything done in watercolor (there are so many ways to stylize that instead of having the traditional flowers-in-a-pot look!) Anything really interesting that pushes the envelope or that is really stylized. Artists like, [link] , [link] , [link] , [link] , :iconporkbun:, :iconerilu:, :iconmuura:, :iconmuttiy:... There's really no limit to what I like to look at though.

Are you satisfied with your current art?
Never! It's what makes me want to keep improving.

What kind of artist are you aiming for?
Someone who can at least make some living at what she loves doing. Getting paid to draw cute things.

Hey all!
It's hard to believe that in a month I'll be done with school after 16 years of it! Crazy!!

I want to pack up and travel all over the world and see everything and do lots of art.
After studying for years about making art I really think I've learned a lot about myself and my work.
To save from ramble; watercolor and collage beats digital any day!!
This is mostly because I just don't have the patience to learn how to do amazing digital work like my classmates.


Hope everyone is doing well :)
Hope everyone is having better weather than Missouri currently is having. :)
I long for warm windy days where I can paint outside and not be freezing and/or wet.

So...yeah. Stuff happened!
I went to Paris over the summer and it was awesome. It really awakened that "must-travel" part in me so I plan on traveling a lot more in the future.

I also now have an awesome special person in my life. :'D We got together before summer. That has been a pretty big impacting factor on my life.

This is my last semester before The Real World™, I'm hoping to get my portfolio together in the spring and kick some behind. /o/

Oh, and if you didn't know, I'm the world's biggest GNR fan, so the release of Chinese Democracy last Sunday was pretty much amazing. I don't know what the level is before weeping tears of joy, but I pretty much achieved that when I finally had the CD in my hot little hands. Already memorized my favorite songs and everything!

As always, hope to post more, etc etc blah blah

Hello friends. How are you? :holly:

I've heard all the panic that came from the Orphan Works thing- am I the only one who remembers this showing up from like 2-3 years ago? Here's an article that breaks it down into layman's terms- [link]
I'm the last politically intelligent person on the earth but I think we'll be all right as long as we do as we do and cover our bases yea? I was freaked out at first too but luckily some calm heads exist to help chill everybody out.

Real life wise, I passed a kidney stone a few weeks ago. It was about the size of a peppercorn. It was a trip, I haven't been to the hospital in a long time!

Classes get out in May and then I'm off on a trip to Paris for two weeks!
Then I come home and paint!
I want to start freelancing so I'll get more info up on that soon.

As you can see, I'm playing DMC 3 and I am enjoying it very much. Has anybody else played it?

I hope you had a spectacular holiday. :holly:

Thanks to all for watches, comments, favs etc.
I've been working hard on art and I'm excited about what I do.
(I just wish so much of it weren't too big to scan ;/ )
I've been working in Illustrator lately too so hopefully I'll have some stuff to show. C;

How is everyone doing?

PS. My ipod is almost completely dead, does anyone have any refs for a good mp3 player? I don't need much, just something to keep me awake for a couple of hours during studios.
